And again

I didn’t get the job. They hired an internal candidate.

This rejection business is becoming a little too familiar.

Oh, I'm sorry, Dear:-(

Let's change tactics here...scrap the whole job thing and move to St. Thomas and be a bartender. You will never regret it!!!

I'm job searching too, and that's one of my biggest frustrations, the internal hire. Seems like that's the way everyone is going these days. Why do they even both posting publicly and interviewing external candidates when they know they're going to hire from within? Why waste my time like that? So frustrating.

Stupid. Lame.

I like Accidentally Me's idea. That sounds heavenly.

I suggest that she see if there are any jobs in the city that the Coach lives in...

Bartender! hahahaha. It would be better than getting bitched out by some dude who is crabby that he, one person, is not allowed to use study rooms dedicated to 2+ people. Which is just what happened to me.

(Sometimes I wonder why I care so much if I ever break into this profession.)

And HELL YES on the internal candidate issue. I felt the same way with the promotion that I was denied for, too. We had 3-4 internal candidates - why post it? Why give the other 110 applicants hope? Why waste their time? It's rude. I guess part of the reason may be due to the fact that it's a public service position, but...ugh. It makes me sick.

In other news, I DID apply for a job that is rather near where The Coach is, well, coaching. But young coaches like him end up moving a lot (he coached out west last year), so I don't even know that he'll still be there in the fall. Also - I totally didn't apply for the job because of him. That would just be a jolly perk. :)

That stinks and is super annoying as well! I'm glad you are still applying to other jobs etc. You will end up where you are supposed to and it will be even better than you could have imagined. I like the sounds of job perks too ;)
